A hole is SAKAGURA. SAKAGURA is a hole. With playing of consciousness I thought that it was natural. When I notice that it is not so for an unexpected reason (When you notice it is not so from an unexpected direction) When you notice Although I thought that I have been the hole which I entered... Although I thought that I have been the hole where I came out I am still in a hole. I am still outside of a hole. I am outside as I am in inside, However I am in inside as I am outside.Pokka, the open hole. It became empty. It opened. When it closes, We are surrounded. And we gaze. Moreover, we approach it. We are released. When we sense it, A hole is SAKAGURA. SAKAGURA is a hole. |

| The private exhibition in SAKAGURA (sake cellar) When was the "hole" opened? And when will it be filled? There is an act that the SAKAGURA becomes empty or my work filled it. Then I accomplished "coming into contact with nature", and "making" in me. SAKAGURA is like a cave. Therefore, I would like to touch it and would like to make my work fill it. There is a feeling of the air flowing freely with the whole space breathing. And I have been fascinated with the quiet space and it is earthen wall, firm pillars, the high ceiling, and the scent of Japanese-styled home. In consequence it arouses my curiosity and I would like to become my work and to drift inside of it. |
